Reasons for choosing the Architectural Review

1. My art practise is based around interventions into public space. It is interesting and important for me to keep up to date with new architectural additions to the environment.

2. Many new architectural buildings that make it to the publication are pieces that reflect innovative, subtle or dominating environments that serve as backdrops for everyday visual arts culture and drama. This is very interesting to me as I am drawn by uncanny situations and environments which Modernist architecture often creates.

3. Spaces shown are often project particular lifestyles that are dreamt by the architect. The discrepency between the Modernist and Utopian ideals visually conveyed and the possible reality of that inhabited space.

4. A diverse language and species of spaces are presented in each issue which enables me to to rethink about spaces in reality and rethink/re evaluate their possibilities, possibilities in terms of interventions and performance. The play between "object" and "environment" within architecture

5. The material, lighting and vocabulary of dramatic and contrasting spaces, tight and large, seamless transitions between an exterior and an interior.
